This portion of this enhanced Doula training program is approved and funded by The Duke Endowment.

We aim to change the narrative of Black birthing outcomes, improve patients' birth experience, and increase the patient's overall satisfaction.

This program was designed by three Black certified nurse midwives. We offer a culturally significant, culturally appropriate, and concordant expanded labor support doula training program.

Our faculty are all experts in the focused area of perinatal care. They represent a wide variety of expertise in perinatal, newborn, breastfeeding, and alternative therapies. This project will create a workforce of Black Doulas to attend the births of Black families in hospitals in the Triangle area.

For additional information about the program, visit www.LEADoula.org.

The next information session is for those interested in being considered for Cohort #6.

Attending an information session is a required critical step in the application process.

Cohort #6 will begin training in October 2023.
